From15 June 2014 until 27 May 2015

About

The future depends on how we act today!

The “Platform to Act” Project came as a step after Bridges and Tatweer Projects, which resulted in the establishment of youth groups in the targeted areas. Through the “Platform to Act” Project, these groups acquired the capacity to formulate and define their objectives. They also shed light on the importance of the participation of youth and women in political and social life.

Moreover, these groups were able to improve the situation of local governance in marginalized areas, especially refugee camps and their surrounding areas. They managed to do so by pressuring the local governance towards creating sustainable development interventions in their communities.

Furthermore, the “Platform to Act” Project institutionalized the change that has been achieved in the capabilities of the target groups. Therefore, this project worked to create structures and systems that respond to the communities’ needs.
