Background:

The Palestinian Association for Empowerment and Local Development – REFORM is a Palestinian NGO that works in the fields of empowerment, local development, and social transformation. Seeking to promote inclusion and social solidarity in Palestine through empowering marginalized hard-to-reach groups, and structural reform. REFORM aims to enhance the social and political participation of marginalized hard- to-reach groups and community activism, to facilitate equal access to public utilities through strengthening the capabilities of young and women, and to provide a reliable database for the political and administrative decision makers in Palestine.

REFORM is looking for 1 Coach/ to lead design thinking training for 5 initiatives.

Specification:

  • Master's degree in Entrepreneurship, Economic and business management, or relevant studies.
  • 5years or more knowledge and experience on Design thinking.
  • 5 years coaching experiences in Entrepreneurship training. 
  • Good and deep knowledge about Palestinian social, economic and policy situation. Deep knowledge of the responsibilities of the popular committees for the camps and the roles required of them.
  • Communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and facilitate the training.
  • Additional advantage international experience on Entrepreneurship
  • The ability to write technical report.
  • Ability and flexibility to Work and access to different areas.
  • Ability to design initiative proposal with the budget.

Scoop of work:

  • Implement design thinking training for 5 initiatives (15-20 expected number participants.
  • Supporting the participants with self-awareness, identifying their strengths and weaknesses, and linking this to its impact on being proactive.
  • Develop five initiatives by Providing participants with a deep understanding of the principles, and tools of design thinking to Enable them to use it during the process.
  • The expected outputs of the training are five initiatives with budgets in the field of community leadership that contribute to finding innovative solutions to social problems in the targeted areas.
  • Provide the organization with the coaching plan and have a pro meeting to discuss how to implement the coaching in order to get the best results.
  • The coaching will take place in Ramallah.
  • Output: Output: Five initiatives with five budgets, Technical report submitted in English.

 

About the training:

The initiative will be part from Youth Led Action project which aim to create a new perspective for young men and women in Palestinian camps by providing them with critical thinking tools and the ability to solve problems.  This is done in order to learn how to lead change in their environment and increase their participation in decision-making through the project activities. Multiple channels and bridges are created that form platforms for young men and women to raise the level of social and political participation.

  • The coaches are requested to submit break down, implementation plan, time frame.
