REFORM holds a meeting to stimulate creative thinking for a number of its beneficiaries

The Palestinian Association for Empowerment and Local Development- REFORM implemented a meeting at Hebron Governorate about stimulating creative thinking for a number of its beneficiaries as part of the Innovation Hub project. The activity aimed at encouraging youth and inspiring them through real life experiences, in order to enable them of developing new business entrepreneurial ideas.

During the meeting, the participants were introduced to the interpersonal skills they need to ensure successful implementation of their future entrepreneurial ideas, as one of the important factors of human development. Moreover, success stories were highlighted as a way of empowering participants, building their capacities as well as allowing them to pass on their success to others. The activity comes within the context of the REFORM’s strive to enhance the participation of youth and women from marginalized areas within the local market and improve their living conditions.

Abd Al-Raheem Abu Hammad, a trainee, said that he learned through previous training workshops to develop his entrepreneurial skills from a conceptual point of view, whereas this meeting, in particular, provided him with the needed motivation and stimulation to put his ideas into practice.

This meeting come as part of the Innovation Hub – Sociocultural Platform which seeks to contribute to bridging the gaps between the various community components on both social and economic levels; providing a safe and interactive platform to enable all members of different groups of society to participate in decision making processes, especially youth and women; and to improve their living conditions by developing untraditional production patterns, enhancing cooperation and partnership between targets groups, and increasing social responsibility of the private sector.
