"What we need today is a chance", spoke Rusaila Jawarish of Aida refugee camp, who graduated from the University of Bethlehem with a degree in Social Service at the age of 25. "When I decided to join the Bridges project, defined as a project aimed at strengthening the relationship between the different communities, activating youth capabilities and participation, repairing systemic injustices, promoting local development opportunities and providing spaces for interaction, grasping these concepts and terms felt like a challenge. All of those terms and concepts were like a jigsaw puzzle to me, further complicated by my own dwindling hope in achieving my dreams. The Bridges project has restored my faith in having lofty dreams. It has provided me with a new vocabulary and lenses through which to view and discuss situations."
